Whether you’re considering joining, or are just wanting a refresher on the background & reliability of this company, I hope that these resources will bless you!
Who to Trust?
The internet is a very big, very unpredictable place. People can throw all sorts of false and untrustworthy information at you! It gets especially murky when it comes to researching health & wellness companies. Believe me when I say, one of my least favorite things to search on the web is just about anything health-related. It’s ok in moderation, but for me, I’m just asking for more stress & anxiety.
Jessica and I created B.Well as a trustworthy, honest source of good, simple information to support & improve your health & lifestyle. Which is why I felt lead to creating this roundup for you today!
Let’s delve into some awesome, transparent, helpful resources to aid you as you understand Young Living as a company…
Science & Product Education
The Farmacist (Lindsay Elmore) – This is hands-down one of my favorite resources ever. Lindsay Elmore is a PharmD, BCPS and an ambassador for Young Living. She delves into everything from the science of essentials oils to understanding Young Living’s other incredible products like makeup & supplements. I especially love her Facebook lives that she does weekly! Check out our favorites below:
Dr. Jim Bob Haggerton – Dr. Jim Bob is a chiropractor, and an incredible teacher when it comes to understanding Young Living. His style is so down to earth & fun, you can’t help but be entertained while you learn! Here are a few videos to check out:
Common Scents Mom (Stacy McDonald) – Stacy McDonald, I am honored to say, is our Young Living Crown Diamond upline leader! She is also an amazing educator & teacher. I especially love her take on the Savvy Minerals Makeup line. Did you know she actually has a background in the cosmetics industry? She has great stuff, let me tell you! Here are a few favorites:
Business Building & Testimonials
Sarah Harnisch – Oh boy. Don’t watch, read, or listen to anything by this lady if you don’t want to feel inspired & motivated to live a free, impassioned life. She is the one who got Jessica and me on fire for Young Living, and if you aren’t careful, might lead you down the same path 😉 I love just about all her resources, but by far my favorites are these:
- Sarah’s Young Living Why (Video) (how she rose from poverty to actual financial freedom through sharing Young Living)
- Toxin Free Life Talk (Audio)
- Gameplan Book (psst! Want a free sampling of this book? Contact Jessica and I: we would be happy to send you one!)
Common Scents Mom (Stacy McDonald) – Yep, Stacy McDonald made it to this section too 🙂 I love her effortless, down-to-earth take on understanding Young Living as a business, and would encourage you to check out the videos below if this is something that interests you!
Young Living as a Company
The Essential Family (Kristen) – Kristen from The Essential Family has done an incredible job on her blog, breaking down a just-the-facts difference between Young Living and a host of other companies. She also gets into some nitty-gritty subjects like purity & labeling that I would encourage you to check out! Her approach to these topics is very objective, trustworthy, and definitely worth a read!

The D. Gary Young Blog – I know what you’re thinking: “Really, Charlotte? You expect me to trust a resource from the founder of a company you’re promoting??” But hear me out. You need to fully trust a brand & company to provide you with something as volatile & delicate as essential oils. A crucial step to developing this trust is learning about the founder’s backstory.
D. Gary Young has written his story about the founding of Young Living on his blog. He started out as an essential oils skeptic just like you and me. He went on to found one of the pioneering wellness companies in the world. It’s truly inspiring and an incredible read. Check out the series here:
Young Living’s Flickr – I don’t know about you, but I LOVE behind the scenes photos 🙂 If you’re a snooper like me, then you will love going through Young Living’s amazing Flickr account! They have photo albums of everything: corporate events, retreats, D. Gary Young Foundation trips, and farm photos! Check out a few faves:
- 2017 Lavender Harvest
- 2017 Uganda Service Trip
- 2017 Fulfill Your Destiny ~ A Day at the Farm
- Manuka Farm
The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation – You can tell a lot about a company by how they give back. The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation is committed to empowering individuals to achieve their potential and defy limitations by providing wellness and education opportunities to underserved communities. It’s such a beautiful work they are doing in countries all across the globe! The best part? It’s not just check-writing. You see Young Living employees, including D. Gary Young, getting their hands dirty while blessing communities.
And that about wraps it up for today’s post 🙂 If you have any questions about any of the resources mentioned above, please don’t hesitate to contact Jessica and me! Ultimately, Young Living is all about providing trustworthy, high-quality solutions for families, both in health & lifestyle. I hope that this round-up was helpful in equipping you to develop your own opinion of Young Living! We are happy for you to do your own research, and make your opinion, and would be honored to have had an impact on that.
