Hi, friends! Guess what? We just passed our first-month mark here on B.Well last week! Thank goodness we had Young Living’s Lavender Essential Oil and Lavender Vitality at our backs. Starting up a blog is loads of fun, but it has its challenges, too. Anytime we find ourselves in a fix, we’d grab a bottle of lavender, breathe it in, and exhale all our troubles away.
Lavender’s therapeutic properties don’t just stop there, though. We use it for a variety of needs! How about I share some of them with you!
Turn off my brain!
We live in a day-and-age where our sleep cycles are easily disrupted. Stress, weird food, illness, winding down from a crazy party, working too much, all of them can contribute to disrupted sleep patterns. But sleep is one of the essential things (no pun intended) to help our body reset, heal, and detox, so we do need it more than we think.
If my head is still buzzing with thoughts before I go to sleep, I like to place a drop of Lavender Vitality essential oil on my thumb and press it to the roof of my mouth, leaving it there for as long as I can so it can absorb, before swallowing. The roof of the mouth sits right under the Hypothalamus, the part of the brain responsible for shutting off arousal signals to promote sleep.
If you don’t like the taste (many don’t), add 5 drops of lavender and 5 drops Tangerine essential oils to your diffuser before bedtime. Sweet dreams!
Lovely Skin and Hair
It’s not a mystery that when you go outside, the chances of your skin coming back unscathed are few. However, if you have Young Living’s lavender essential oil lying around somewhere, you can immediately address those minor irritations and smell lovely at the same time.
Give yourself a spa treatment every morning by adding two drops of lavender to a natural skin routine to keep your face looking bright, beautiful, and evenly toned.
Did you have a stressful day at work? Hop into the shower and suds your hair down with your favorite natural shampoo and a couple drops of lavender. The calming therapeutic properties will have you feeling like a million bucks in no time while adding nourishment to your hair follicles. You can even add a couple drops to your favorite natural mascara to lengthen those lashes!
This is our all-time favorite recipe for success for those of us who contend with the springtime flowers. Add three drops Lavender, Peppermint, and Lemon Vitality into a blank capsule and take it every morning. You can breathe freely around that fresh spring/summer bouquet now!

Blessings and love,
Ok, one last thing before I leave: I want to emphasize that with all our posts relating to Essential Oils, we use Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. We have had positive results with our oils because they are honestly 100% pure. If you use a different brand, results may vary. You hear a lot of hype about the different essential oil brands these days, and this is a market that is easy to mess up with bad products. That is why Charlotte and I trust Young Living exclusively to provide us with the best, most PURE Essential Oils on the Planet! Want more info? Check out Young Living’s Seed to Seal promise here!
